United 4 RISD Kids
Is a non-partisan coalition of Richardson ISD parents, students, teachers
and community members that believe effective, student-focused, school board leadership
is one of the most critical assets to improving outcomes for all of our kids. Our goal is to equip our community with accurate, unbiased, information that directly impacts our kids so they can strong and productive communications with the RISD Board of Trustees.
Our Why
Our community is united in the belief that every RISD student deserves to graduate and have a positive plan for the future. Preparing our students starts with excellent leadership. We know that strong school board trustees lead to higher academic outcomes for all students.
United 4 RISD Kids is dedicated to informing our friends and neighbors on the research based qualities that make Trustees successful in making decisions that will result in better outcomes for our students.
Between elections, we are committed to bringing families and community information about school board decisions and district initiatives in a way that allows them to be informed participants. School boards and communities need to have more open and consistent communication to ensure that everyone is heard when boards make critical decisons that impact the lives of our children.
School board leadership is not about Republican or Democrat views. It’s about centering students. Together, we can raise the bar for our elected RISD leadership so that all our kids and families can thrive.
